Dust and crystals are stuck in the suction part of the hood

There are various causes of dust and crystals depending on the location where the fume hood is installed, such as dust may be contained in the air sucked from the laboratory or from the outside, dust adhering to the inner wall of highly viscous chemicals, crystallization of chemicals used or the chemicals with elements in the air.
 
If dust and crystal adhesion is severe, perform a major cleaning or request for one.
 
It is recommended, especially in the case of crystals, to analyze and identify what is adhering. This is because, the same thing will definitely happen again.

Initial support/correspondence 

 
Consult with the laboratory manager or facility administrator and investigate the cause.
 
As a preliminary step of crystallization, there is also the possibility of sagging, so at the time of work, wear appropriate protective equipment and proceed with caution.
 
If the cause cannot be determined, consult with an inspector or fume hood manufacturer.
